“Unless your name is Google, stop acting like you know everything!”

Google is used to find anything and everything in this world! It plays such an important role in an individual’s life. Majority of people misinterpret Google Chrome as Internet Service and not just a browser!

Google has rolled out with a new feature! Some call it a Virtual Visiting Card or People Cards or even Add me to Search!

This feature basically allows an individual to add information and make Cards for themselves, just like Big Personalities have on their search pages.

Why is this feature important?

  • Google Chrome is the most used browser, accounting for more than half of all web traffic.
  • It is one’s first option to search anything.
  • Online Presence is a great way to create Good First Impression and let people get a fresh glimpse about a person!

So, below are the steps for getting started:

One prerequisite for this feature is to have an Official Gmail Account.

  • Login to your Gmail Account.
  • Open Chrome, and type either Add me to Search or Name in the search bar.
  • If one wishes to see an example, the View Example option can be clicked.
  • Once clicked on Get Started, the below page appears.
  • Change Avatar can be used to either add or change the picture to be visible in the card with other details.
  • Rest details like Name, Location, About, Occupation, Work, Education, Website, Phone, Email and Social Profiles can be added as shown below.
  • The Add Social Profiles has a sub menu inside where various social media accounts can be linked with the Card.
  • Finally, the Preview can be clicked to see preview of Card and Save to finalize the Card.
  • Below is an example of how a Card will look once ready!

One last thing to quote,

Let your online presence speak for you, but not more than the real you!
